There are many blog sites on the internet nowadays and many people are interested in blogging about anything. Let it be their daily activities, travel blog, food and many more. So, among the blogs that I have used, I have found this one to be easier and low cost. Blogger is a blog-publishing service that allows multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was developed by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. Generally, the blogs are hosted by Google at a subdomain of blogspot.com. Blogs can also be hosted in the registered custom domain of the blogger (like www.example.com). A user can have up to 100 blogs per account. Up until May 1, 2010, Blogger allowed users to publish blogs on other hosts, via FTP. All such blogs had (or still have) to be moved to Google's own servers, with domains other than blogspot.com allowed via custom URLs. Unlike WordPress.com, Blogger allows its users to use their own domain free of charge, while WordPress.com charges around $13 to use a custom domain. Blogger cannot be installed on a web server. One has to use DNS facilities to redirect a custom URL to a blogspot domain. (Wikipedia) I have chosen to use Blogger because of its process which is easy to understand how to set up and create a blog. For example, on another blogging site, I wanted to create an account I had to go through a rather complicated process whereas in Blogger I just entered my email and created a blog entry. Furthermore, Blogger has a variety of designs that are attractive and it is also customizable to the blogger's liking. For example,
Moreover, Blogger has some helpful features in where I don't have to be worried on how many visitors I get, Blogger has a statistics feature where it counts the number of visitors I get on my page. For example,
Other than that, Blogger also allows you to earn money from it once you have been using it for at least six months, you have to be at least eighteen years old and your viewer statistics are fairly high you can apply for Adsense if you want to. Blogger makes it easier for you to access this through your webpage on the left side of your homepage. Heres an example.
Another thing I like about Blogger is that it also allows you to create a campaign in order to get more readers to get to know about your page and get more readers. But unlike a certain blogging website, Blogger gives you a choice to decide if you want to create a campaign or not. For example,
Although Blogger has a lot of good features, I'd say that their blogging experience can also improve a little. For example, they should make it so that in order to customize and add our own photo into the background we don't have to download the image and then add it to the blog. Instead, we could just add the URL to the image into the customizer and it would apply our chosen image into the background.
